Dominick
Viscardi,
CSCS*D
Personal
Trainer
I hired
my first
personal
trainer
in 1984.
I
continued
on with
various
personal
trainers
for the
next
fifteen
years.
It was
the
highlight
of my
day to
do the
sessions.
I had my
gym bag
packed
and
ready
every
day. I
then
decided
that I
wanted
to be a
personal
trainer,
and went
back to
school.
I have
never
regretted
my
decision,
and
continue
to learn
new
concepts.
My view
is that
I am
humbled
by what
I don’t
know,
and I am
proud of
accomplishments.
My
mission
is to
never
stop
learning,
and
provide
my
clients
with the
very
latest
in
training
ideas
and
equipment.

Philosophy:
I take a holistic approach to personal training. I encourage my clients to achieve their goals by integrating fitness whenever and however they are able. Fitness is truly a way of life and I approach each person with the idea of helping them to change their life for the better and to feel good doing it. I focus on core training, strength and functional exercises designed to enhance each individual's daily life. Everyone wants to have fun while exercising and I strive to keep clients’ interest keen. Enjoyment and proper form are key elements in maintaining a lifelong relationship with fitness. I also believe that communication is essential to good training. As such, I provide guidance for each person along their individual fitness journey and create an open environment in which to express their needs.

Philosophy:
Your training program should imitate "real life" - so you can stick with it and see results! I don't use a cookie-cutter approach to fitness. I help design a program that works with your lifestyle to help you reach your specific goals. I've trained clients as young as 7 all the way up to 85 years old. Working together we'll come up with a plan to build lean muscle, burn fat, increase strength and endurance and stay injury free!
I'm serious about fitness - but I also want to make sure you’re having fun. We're a team!
Motto:
"Eat right and move your butt!" I'm part cheerleader and drill sergeant to motivate you and hold you accountable.

Long term fitness strategies, coaching, and development
My desire for all my clients is that they will easily play with their great grandchildren and great nieces and nephews well into their 80s and 90s!
This requires balance, coordination, strength, endurance, power and agility; training the muscles and joints to respond properly to given physical demands. It requires good alignment and range of motion. It requires an ever evolving dynamic balance between engagement and relaxation. It requires starting now!
I grew up swimming and have taught many beginning students young and old alike to not only swim, but to swim well: freely and effortlessly no matter their fears or past failures.
As a former actor and stage director my unique perspective for fitness is rooted in the necessity for the body to be able to move with ease and effortlessness. In order to be able to express oneself on stage the body has to be both strong and at ease—dynamic! I believe the same applies to everyday life. We must become dynamic with and within our own bodies to truly experience the quality of life we desire. I’ve been practicing Tai Chi Chuan and other movement & balance techniques for over 20 years. Having spent my entire adult life pursuing and learning about balance, movement, and strength I am uniquely qualified to help you achieve your balance, movement and strength training goals on land and in the water.

Philosophy:
If you don't take care of your body, where will you live for the rest of your life? I take a holistic approach to health and wellness paired with a creative approach to looking at fitness. I am a strong believer in finding new ways to look at training. I like to constantly throw new drills and demands on the body and quickly move from one drill to the next. This keeps things fresh mentally and physically, and I am also convinced that people see stronger results in their training when they mix it up and find new ways to approach working out.
I am passionate about encouraging clients and want those that I train to know that I am here to serve them well.

My philosophy is that if you are bored during our work outs, you won't look forward to the next session so I always try to keep it fresh and interesting. My style of training is a little different than most trainers, I like to get my clients active outdoors where there is room to breathe.
When I was in high school I almost weighed 300lbs. I got tired of being the fat kid and started studying how to lose weight the healthy way. Because I was so big, it was hard for me to do a lot of exercises properly. I had to take the knowledge I had gained from my studies and alter the exercises. I had to make it so I could physically be able to get in the correct position to avoid personal injury. Since I was so over weight, my lifestyle had to change completely to get the results I wanted. My personal experience helps me relate to a lot of clients that have difficulty dropping that extra weight.
