Robbie Reaves B.S.,B.Sc.,L.ExPh,ATC,MFT
Fitness Manager

Philosophy-
Back in 2002, I was severally injured having been shot in the L-3 vertebrae. Suffering massive blood loss and paralysis from my Mid-Torso down through my lower extremities, I was told I would never walk again. Having a wealth of knowledge and experience in Health and Fitness, I did most of my rehabilitation, and after only 1 year, I was able to walk again and have relative normal body functional movement and return to work... However, in the last 2 years I have been suffering from Chronic LBP, and having other issues due to my past injuries. My nutrition was mostly spot on except I was in taking complex carbohydrates, and non-free range meats full of Gluten, and I thought I was doing all the right things to aid in my troubles. Little did I know that all of my years of College and multitude of Certifications meant absolutely nothing compared to Paleo Nutrition and CrossFit training. Because of "CROSSFIT", I have been pain free for over a year now, obtained the CrossFit Nutrition Cert, am working towards my Level 1 Cert and Olympic Cert, as well as following the Gluten Free Paleo plan. I am now Cross Fitting 4 times per week and eating prescribed Paleo! Not to mention performing handstands and Dead lifting 385lbs!

“Change can happen at any time… How well your prepared for it, depends on your level of success!”

Training Philosophy-
I believe that functional training using barbell, dumbbell, kettelbell, and gymnastic movements as well as proper metabolic conditioning, is the only way to true measureable fitness. I believe that anyone, regardless of age, gender, or disabilities has the potential to do amazing things. I teach my clients movements that they can find applications for in their daily lives outside the gym. I love keeping my clients passionate about fitness by showing them measureable change in their bodies as well as performance. “We are what we repeatedly do, excellence then is not an act but a habit” –Aristotle-

There are so many positive benefits to regular exercise & proper nutrition. As a personal trainer I am able to share the gift of living a healthy fitness lifestyle with my clients. Incorporating a safe & effective training program for your individual needs, and having the desire and determination to do so, you can achieve success. “Success is a science, if you have the right conditions, you get the result.” Oscar Wilde As a trainer I use an integrated approach to your workouts. Dean Artis, B.A., A.C.E.-CPT, YMCA-CPT, APEX
Certified Personal Trainer

Philosophy-
My philosophy begins with total fitness. The human body is an amazing and complex machine, and requires a variety of training approaches for it to function optimally. Fitness is not just a slim waist and toned muscles, it is a strong and healthy heart and lungs, flexible muscles that allow full and stable range of motion, muscular strength to cope with heavy loads, core stability of the stomach and back to ensure good posture and alignment, speed, agility and balance to get the most out of life. Total fitness also includes proper food intake and supplementation and a sound mind. Neglect of any single aspect of total fitness and you will sabotage your goals!

The body becomes accustomed to the same resistance or length of time you perform an exercise or its intensity. So you need to keep pushing the body to progressively higher levels of resistance, duration and intensity. Most people who train without the benefits of a personal trainer/coach will approach their workouts in a haphazard way, unplanned, with mostly guesswork as to the correct resistance, duration and intensity of their workouts. They either over do it and injure themselves, or don’t workout hard enough and make little or no progress. I will recommend an effective plan uniquely designed for you, and motivate you to stick to it!

Zoe Yearout, B.A.,A.A.,NETA,NSCA
Certified Personal Trainer

Philosophy-
My personal training philosophy is to provide an individualized workout program for clients based on a foundation of education and motivation. I believe that workouts should be both challenging and fun, while working to achieve personal fitness goals. I have been active all my life and know from personal experience the power that physical activity and fitness have to transform lives. I strongly believe that outer and inner strength go hand in hand. My training motto is “Outer Strength, Inner Vitality”. Having a healthy and strong body on the outside opens the door for greater inner strength and overall sense of well-being. Throughout my life, I have been happiest, felt the most alive and balanced when I am the most active and physically fit. My passion for fitness springs from this relationship between inner and outer strength. My mission and greatest joy as a personal trainer is helping clients find this great sense of strength and vitality by setting and achieving personal fitness goals.
